Sarıyer böreği is a börek sold at İstanbul's pastry shops, said to have first been made in the late 19th century. It resembles the rolled kol böreği and can be filled with minced meat, cheese, potato or spinach, sometimes enriched with currants and pine nuts. It is sold by weight.
