Samsa

Where it belongs

Samsa is a triangular pastry that has spread from South Asia to East Africa and Portugal. Historical records trace this food, favoured even by the old Persian emperors, back at least to 500 BC. Made sweet or savoury and usually well spiced, this ancient pastry is known around Isparta, Tokat and Çanakkale as well.
