Editor's Note
The mosque was built in the reign of Sultan Selim I or Sultan Süleyman the Magnificent. It is thought to have been built at the same time as the manor/palace constructed in the village. Located within the Yapağca Farm, the building lies south of the Hamam Stream section of the Tuzla Stream basin. Formerly known as the Çavuşlu locality, this place became, after the founding of the village of Alipaşa, a structure on the boundary between the villages of Yapağca and Alipaşa. The mosque is of the single-dome type. Cut stone and, in places, brick were used. The base of its single-balcony minaret is faced with cut stone over a stone-and-brick core.
