The Pasha Bathhouse is located in the Kurtulus neighborhood, one of the oldest neighborhoods of Maras, and is one of the city's oldest bathhouses. Although the exact construction date is not known, it is thought to have been built in the 1500s. This is because it shows similarities in plan and period to the Pasha Bathhouses of the same name in Kilis and Antep. It is also said to have been commissioned by Ahmet Pasha, the same man who built the Divanli Mosque, which is why the bathhouse came to be called the "Pasha Bathhouse." Unlike the other bathhouses found in Maras, the Pasha Bathhouse has a star-shaped plan type.
