Çatköy in Gemerek had a significant Armenian population in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. There was also a smaller Greek population. In those years the village had 470 households. During the great displacement of 1915, first the Greeks left the village, and then, in stages up to 1950, the Armenians departed. After the 1920s, immigrants from Bulgaria settled in the village. After 1927, migrations from the village of Eşikli to Çat village began.
