Editor's Note
Çat is a highland village known for its natural beauty. It belongs to the Gemerek district of Sivas. Until 1915 it was a village inhabited mainly by Armenians, with a small number of Greeks. In the 1890s the village had 470 households. The Greek church was converted into a mosque. Today the church is in a neglected and ruined state.
