Editor's Note
It is in the Selamsız quarter, at the place known as Tekke Kapısı. It is the only bath covering part of the area enclosed by Selami Hamamı Street and Ethem Ağa Street. Built of cut stone with brick courses around 1677 by Selami Ali Efendi, one of the Jelveti sheikhs, together with a mosque, a lodge and dervish rooms, it was open to the public but was nonetheless a lodge bath. After the closure of the dervish lodges and convents it was abandoned, and its stones were also carried off by the surrounding houses. Today a house has been set atop the two remaining walls of this small bath.
