Editor's Note
Grandfather Mehmet Efendi came from Albania to Üsküdar in 1911 and went into business. Having brought his son Sami to join him, Mehmet Efendi must have founded the offal shop in Üsküdar in the late 1910s or early 1920s, after the war. Run by Sami Bey until the 1980s, the shop is today still operated by his son Yüksel Bey. Source: Ciğerci Yüksel.
