Editor's Note
It was commissioned by Joseph Kholman (József Kollmann), one of the heroes of the 1848-1849 Hungarian War of Independence. After the war was lost, Kholman, who had been sentenced to death, took refuge with the Ottomans and took the name Feyzullah; he converted to Islam and joined the Ottoman Army. He held important duties in the defense of Kars Fortress during the 1877-1878 Russo-Ottoman War. Source: www.turkmagyarizi.com
