Editor's Note
Opened on January 11, 1933. When it was decided in 1986 to convert the land beside the Çırağan Palace, which had been used as a stadium, into a hotel, the stadium was taken back from the Beşiktaş club and its operations ceased. After the demolition of Şeref Stadium, where Beşiktaş footballers trained for the last time, the Çırağan-Kempinski Hotel was built in its place.
