Editor's Note
The school, opened in 1892, was designed by the architect Dimitrios Panayiotides. The plainly plastered building with lintel-less square windows was built along modern lines for its time. The school closed due to a shortage of pupils, and its building is now unused. In 2022 it hosted the 17th Istanbul Biennial.
