Located in the Katip Mustafa Çelebi neighbourhood on Sıraselviler Avenue (block 462, parcel 33), this is the Paşa Baba (Rufai) Lodge of Hocazade Mehmet Tahir Efendi. In the years when it was open for the Rufai devran ceremony, the Paşa Baba Dervish Lodge was a centre of spiritual learning consisting of a semahane (ceremonial hall), two rooms, two further rooms in its garden, a kitchen, a pantry, a well, a latrine, a garden and a burial ground. Owned by Taksim First Aid Hospital, the mosque and lodge were restored in 2012 with the support of philanthropists and our association (İSTED) and reopened for worship.
