Editor's Note
It dates from the period when Hagia Eirene served as a military museum. It is a single-storey masonry building with a timber-framed roof, displaying 19th-century characteristics. Its doors, windows, floors and panelled ceiling divisions are made of wood. In the late Ottoman period it was used as housing for palace staff.
