Editor's Note
It stands opposite the main entrance of the Ahi Çelebi Mosque. The building bears no construction inscription, but it is thought to have been built together with the mosque, dating to the reign of Mehmed the Conqueror or, at the latest, the early 16th century. The two-storey school is built of cut stone and covered with a tiled roof. Known to have been damaged in fires and earthquakes, the building has been repaired at various times over the years.
