A Byzantine-period wall remnant was identified during a foundation excavation carried out in 1991 under the supervision of the Istanbul Archaeology Museums, along with 3 marble columns with Ionic impost capitals in front of it. No cistern plaster was found on the L-shaped wall remnant, but the chamfered corner of the wall indicates that the remnant belonged to a cistern. The remnant is thought to date to the Early Byzantine period. The basement of the office block built over it can today be reached from inside a shop.
