Editor's Note
It was built in the third quarter of the 17th century, behind the Fatih Medreses on the street now called Yesarizade. A small medrese, it had five rooms for two people each. As it failed to survive the great Fatih fire and burned down completely, it appears as a vacant lot by late 1918. To trace the foundations of the medrese, which is to be revived and brought back to life, an exploratory foundation excavation was carried out under the supervision of the Directorate of Archaeology Museums. In light of the findings, plans were prepared and submitted to the Conservation Board for approval, but there has still been no positive progress.
