Editor's Note
Its founder was El-Hâcc Bahşâyiş Nurullah Efendi. Its minbar was donated by Aişe Hatun. Külhanî Seyyid Mehmed Efendi is buried nearby (in 1105/1693-1694). The Nuri Dede Mosque burned down in the fire of 1918, and during the expropriations of 1956-57 and the works to open Millet Avenue, part of its plot was incorporated into the road. A photograph dated 1931 shows the mosque's surviving minaret, the remains of two walls, and some graves. The base/socle section of the mosque's minaret is built with one course of cut stone and three courses of flat brick, with the upper parts plastered, and it has a single balcony.
