Editor's Note
The Dizdariye Cistern, which came to light during the construction of the Çemberlitaş Girls' Dormitory, was destroyed and obliterated during the construction work after its survey drawing had been made. It was given this name because of its proximity to the Dizdariye Mosque. The cistern is thought to date to the Early Byzantine period and probably to the 6th century.
