Editor's Note
Built in 1692, the Bukhara Uzbek Lodge was a gathering place in the 17th century for pilgrims arriving from Turkestan. The lodge's first major repair was carried out in 1887 by Abdülhamid II. It was restored again between 2006 and 2008 by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality.
