Editor's Note

It stands in Eyüp on Silahdar Ağa Avenue (in front of No. 225), opposite the power station near the Silahdar Ağa Bridge and at the right-hand head of Kemeklidere Street. The fountain sits on a raised terrace reached by steps. Its face is clad in marble. Between two plain columns it has a carved arch and a relief-decorated mirror stone. Its basin is intact. Within a medallion above the arch is inscribed the word 'Maşallah.'
