Editor's Note
The Fil Bridge, also known as the Silahtarağa Bridge, was a 38-metre concrete bowstring bridge crossing the Alibeyköy Creek in Istanbul. Begun in 1930 by engineer Naşit Arıkan and completed in 1932, it was demolished in 2018 during construction of the T5 tram line.
