Editor's Note
This is the monumental tomb of Avram Kamondo, or by his full name, Count Abraham-Salomon de Camondo. Camondo, who died in Paris on 30 March 1873 and had left instructions to be buried in Istanbul, was brought back, and on 14 April 1873 he was laid to rest in this monumental tomb he had previously had built in the Hasköy Cemetery.
