Located on Zincirlikuyu Avenue: 'the school and the fountain beneath it are the charitable endowment of Kadri Çavuş, one of the sergeants of the Imperial Arsenal; his name was Abdülkâdir. And the date in the arch of this fountain is this: 1115' (AD 1703-04). [1] The fountain, which was in ruins, has undergone restoration. The chronogram couplet: 'A voice came on seeing its date; it said this is a fountain of the water of Kevser.' —– 1 Hüseyin Ayvansarâyî, Hadîkatü'l-Cevâmî, Küçük Piyale Paşa Mosque, vol. 2, p. 32, 1768-82.
