Editor's Note
The bath, built by Levon Ağa Kapoyan, opened in 1908, the year the Second Constitutional Era was proclaimed, and inscriptions meaning 'Constitution Bath' in three languages were placed at its entrance in commemoration. In Armenian it reads 'Pağnik Sahmanatragan' and in Greek 'Olytros Toy Syntagmotos.' After being damaged in a later fire, the bath was repaired and reopened to the public in 1923 under the name Hürriyet (Liberty) Bath.
