Editor's Note
This is a cistern remnant uncovered in 1988 during a foundation excavation carried out under the supervision of the Istanbul Archaeology Museums. The remains, belonging to a cistern thought to have a square plan, were placed under protection by council decision in the basement of the apartment building constructed over them.
