Editor's Note

As a result of the magnitude 6.2 earthquake in Istanbul, a piece broke off from main wall section no. 69 of the Land Walls, at a point on Sulukule Avenue near the Topkapı Ulubatlı Metro Station, and the original fragment that fell from the wall struck the wire fencing. Because the fencing was damaged, new wire fencing was installed for safety after the incident. [1]
