Editor's Note
Since there is no inscription on the fountain commissioned by Seyhulislam Veliyyuddin Efendi, its year of construction is unknown. The fountain is built of cut stone, with a rectangular facade, and is quite plain. On its front facade there is a fountain niche with a pointed arch. On the keystone of the pointed arch there is a relief rosette, and the spout-plate within the niche is undecorated. Behind the fountain there is an open-air prayer area (namazgah).
