Editor's Note
It stands where Haydar Baba Avenue meets Baba Haydar Mektebi Street, on the left corner of the street. A little further to its left is the Baba Haydar Mosque, and ahead on the right is the mosque of the Şeyhülislam Mustafa Efendi Lodge. The author of the Hadika gives this information in his famous work: "Its founder is the Chief Black Eunuch El-hac Beşir Ağa, who also served as Şeyhülharem. Within the cells and the mosque there is a small library, and adjoining it a two-story primary school, with a fountain beneath it and all other necessary facilities."
