The fountain on plot 391, sheet 9, in the Menderes neighborhood (next to the church) was half-buried underground by 1983, and the Güngören Municipality sought an opinion on whether it was a historical monument and whether it could be demolished. As a result of the correspondence, it was registered as a cultural property requiring protection by decision no. 598 dated 04.05.1984 of what was then called the Istanbul Regional Directorate of Immovable Cultural and Natural Heritage.
