Located on Ahmet Mithat Avenue, this mansion, like the neighboring Waterside Residences No. 6, 7, 8 and 9, can be described as one of the decline-era structures of Bosphorus architecture and the work of unskilled builders, lacking any defined style. It was registered under protection number 10 and the name "Traditional House-Type Waterside Residence" in the 1971 decision of the High Council for Immovable Antiquities and Monuments concerning the mansions on the Anatolian side of the Bosphorus shoreline.
