Located on Ahmet Mithat Avenue, this mansion, like the neighboring Waterside Residences No. 7, 8, 9 and 10, can be described as one of the decline-era structures of Bosphorus architecture and the work of unskilled builders, lacking any defined style. Although it has been altered by an added canopy on its seaward side, it preserves its late-19th-century architectural character. It was registered under protection number 6 and the name "Traditional House-Type Waterside Residence" in the 1971 decision of the High Council for Immovable Antiquities and Monuments concerning the mansions on the Anatolian side of the Bosphorus shoreline.
