Part of the bridge collapsed after it was first built, and it was rebuilt in 1725 by Karahanoğlu Hacı Ebubekir of finely cut basalt stone, with three vaulted arches. About 20 meters long and 7.6 meters wide, the bridge was restored in 2019 by the Kars 18th Regional Directorate of the Turkish General Directorate of Highways.
