Editor's Note
The Boys' Art School is an educational building whose foundation was laid in 1943 and which was completed in 1945. Its construction took shape in the early 1940s as part of the efforts by the Undersecretariat of Vocational and Technical Education to increase the number of technical schools across the country. In this period, art schools were generally planned to consist of three main sections: workshops, workshop annexes, and administrative and teaching spaces. The first step toward establishing the Kayseri Boys' Art School was taken on 1 October 1942, in the two-storey building next to Kadı Burhanettin Secondary School.
