Editor's Note
According to the records in the registers Mimar Sinan had compiled, the Gürcü Osman Paşa Mosque (also known as the Çerkez Osman Paşa Mosque or Saray Mosque) was built in the 16th century by the great architect at the commission of Gürcü Osman Paşa in his homeland of Kayseri. The mosque stood at At Pazarı, the heart of the city, in what is now Cumhuriyet Square. It was located between the Military Affairs Office II and Military Barracks I, on a site that today lies just south of the Kayseri Governor's Office.
