The Military Affairs Office I (Conscription Office I) was built in Kayseri between 1890 and 1891, during the reign of Sultan Abdülhamid II. It stood between the Kayseri Provincial Government House and the Courthouse that was demolished in 2018. With its four-columned porticoed entrance, two-story plan, wooden ornamentation, and wide windows, the building had an elegant appearance. Sadly, during construction of the new Government House, in May 1990, it was demolished and erased on the orders of the governor of the time, without any justification and despite all warnings.
