It has been established that water carried by channels from Elmadağ was collected in a reservoir at Atpazarı and distributed to the city from there (Fıratlı, p. 354). The site of this reservoir corresponds to the area where the back garden of today's Erimtan Museum is located. Work was carried out to repair the Elmadağ water line, made of stone pipes, under Abidin Paşa, and in order to raise the 50,000 kuruş needed for the task, a prize lottery ticket was issued in 1889. The proceeds from the sale of these tickets were transferred to the repair budget, and the restoration of the Elmadağ Kehlizpınarı waterways was completed in 1890.
