It is located within the boundaries of the village of Karakurt in the Sarıkamış district of Kars province. Although the construction date of the bridge, which is owned by the General Directorate of Highways, is unknown, its architectural features suggest it was built in the late 19th or early 20th century, when the region was under Tsarist Russian rule. About 19 m long and 7 m wide, the bridge is carried on steel girders resting on cut-stone piers. It was registered as a Cultural Property Requiring Protection (Group 2) by decision no. 2610 of the Kars Regional Council for the Conservation of Cultural Heritage, dated 30 October 2019.
