Editor's Note
It is located within the boundaries of the İnönü neighborhood in the Sarıkamış district of Kars province. The exact date of construction is unknown, but the building is known to have been erected as an officers' club during the Russian occupation of 1878–1918. After the proclamation of the Republic it served for a time as a Turkish Hearth (Türk Ocağı) building, and from 1931 as a dispensary and government medical office. In 1963 it was considered for allocation as lodging for the city's finance officials, but in 1965 it was transferred to the Girls' Vocational High School. Used as the Commercial Vocational High School in 1993, the building stands idle today.
