It lies within the bounds of the İstasyon neighbourhood, in the Sarıkamış district of Kars province. It is thought to have been built during the construction work of 1910-1913 on the Kars-Sarıkamış section of the Transcaucasian railway, while Kars was under Russian occupation. Erected as an Engine Workshop, the building has a rectangular plan, is of cut stone, and is single-storey.
