It lies within the bounds of the Yukarısarıkamış neighbourhood, in the Sarıkamış district of Kars province. This cemetery, where Turkish soldiers who fell during the Sarıkamış Campaign were buried, was repaired in 1950 by Bekir Necati Topaloğlu of Rize, the 11th-term member of parliament for Afyonkarahisar, and surrounded with a wall. In 2016 it was enlarged and reorganized by the Sarıkamış District Governorship.
