It stands within the bounds of İnkaya village in the Sarıkamış district of Kars province. Carved into the rock on the mountainside and built on an east–west axis, the church has five surviving sections. On its western side are square-plan tomb chambers, and on its eastern side a semicircular apse, at the centre of which is a fresco of the Virgin Mary. The church has many illicit excavation pits, and the frescoes too have been damaged. It is thought to date to the Early Christian period. There is also a chapel, again carved into the rock, in the lower part of the church.
