Editor's Note
It is located in the Kızılırmak neighbourhood in the centre of the Zara district. This building, bearing the typical features of an Ottoman bath, was built in 1870 by Sivas Governor Hacı Ahmed İzzet Pasha. (Source: Sivas Province Yearbook dated 1308-1890/91, p. 196) Built of cut stone, its cool room (soğukluk) is covered with sheet metal that was clearly added later. As the main entrance door fell below road level over time, it was closed off and a new door opened on its side. It has cool and hot rooms, a navel stone, and a small pool.
