For the mosque, whose construction date and architect are unknown, information about the building appears in archive records dated 1715 AD. From these documents it may be inferred that the building was converted from a small mosque (mescit) into a mosque in 1715 AD and that its construction date is earlier than 1715. Built in the wooden-pillared mosque plan type, the mosque was constructed using cut stone in its foundation walls and mudbrick in the upper parts of its walls. Timber was used in the upper covering, the minaret shaft and the supporting posts.
