Rectangular in plan, with rough-hewn stone in its walls and timber used for the supporting posts, upper covering and minaret, it belongs to the group of wooden-pillared mosques, being roofed by a wooden ceiling carried on ten wooden supports. Although two inscriptions on the mosque name El-Hac Hüseyin, son of Ömer Beğzade, as patron and give 1843 as the date of construction, documents in the Ottoman Archive indicate the mosque was actually built earlier than that date.
