Yeniçubuk Train Station entered service in 1930 as part of the Republic of Turkey's efforts to expand its railway network. The station is an important point on the Ankara-Kars railway line, which lies along the country's east-west transport corridor. The history of the town of Yeniçubuk, where the station is located, is also tied to the railway. The area was established in 1936 after a marsh was drained, as a settlement chiefly for immigrants arriving from Romania and Bulgaria, and it took the name "Yeniçubuk" (New Çubuk) in reference to the nearby village of "Eskiçubuk" (Old Çubuk).
