Editor's Note
The construction date of the Gemerek Bridge, located south of Yeniçubuk Village on the Gemerek road, is unknown. Its architectural style suggests it may date from the late Ottoman period. The Yeniçubuk Bridge is regarded as a monumental stone bridge from the 19th century. Now under protection, this structure is tangible evidence of the region's historic transport network. Built of cut and rubble stone, the bridge is round-arched with three spans. It was registered and placed under protection on 9 April 1977. The bridge is sound, though part of the side walls along the upper roadway have collapsed.
