With the retreat cell (çilehane) he established within the Tohma Canyon, Somuncu Baba also created a training center where the dervishes of the lodge could practice their austerities. The cell, reached by a waterway built along the edge of steep cliffs within the Tohma Canyon, has been restored, and paths have been opened to the area leading to it so that visitors can reach the site with ease. Within the mud-brick structure built in front of a chamber carved into the rock lies the grave of an unnamed dervish who served here.
