Editor's Note
It was built in 1925-26 in the Kızılcaoba neighborhood by the district governor of the time, Osman Bey (Kör Osman). It is the stones that give this building its authentic appearance. They were taken from Elbistan's ruined historic structures, old mansions, and cemeteries. The site of the Old Government House is itself a former cemetery, and gravestones from there were used as well.
