Editor's Note
Museum work in Isparta began in 1933 with the opening of the People's House, where archaeological finds gathered from the surrounding area and Islamic gravestones were displayed in a room arranged as a museum hall. After the People's House was closed the objects were moved to various storerooms, and in 1973 a room of the Halil Hamit Pasha Library was put to use as a museum depot and the first museum post was established. The museum today stands on Millet Street in Isparta.
