Editor's Note
It stands in the Balıklıgöl district, at the Akarbaşı locality. The construction date of the Narıncı Mosque is not known for certain, but it is thought to have been built before 1523, during the Aq Qoyunlu period. It has an inscription. According to the inscription on the iwan wall, the ruined building here was demolished by Müşir Pasha, a memorizer of the Qur'an, with the support of Muhammed (Miri) Pasha, who was district governor of Raqqa. The mosque was then rebuilt. The inscription was composed by the poet Sakıb. The last verse gives the repair date as 1839 (AH 1255).
